Introduction
Rytmo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Rytmo (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.
Important: We do NOT have access to your personal data. All data is stored locally on your device and/or in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access. We do not operate any servers or databases that store your data.
Information We Collect
Note: While the App processes and stores the information described below, we (the developers) do NOT have access to this data. All data remains on your device or in your personal iCloud account.
Information You Provide
The App stores information that you provide directly when using the App, including:
- Habit Data: Information about your habits, including habit titles, descriptions, notes, schedules, completion status, and streak counts
- Task Data: Daily task completion records, dates, and completion timestamps
- User Preferences: App settings such as week start day, notification preferences, and display preferences
- Premium Account Information: Subscription status, purchase history, and premium tier information (if applicable)
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Basic device information necessary for app functionality (processed locally, not transmitted to us)
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App (stored locally on your device only)
- Sync Data: Data synchronized across your devices via iCloud (stored in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access)
Health Information (Optional)
If you choose to integrate with Apple Health (HealthKit), we may access the following health data types, only with your explicit permission:
- Step count
- Distance traveled
- Active energy (calories burned)
- Exercise minutes
- Other health metrics you explicitly authorize
Important: Health data integration is completely optional. You can use the App without granting any HealthKit permissions. Health data is only accessed when you explicitly link a habit to a health metric and grant permission.
How We Use Your Information
Important: All data processing happens locally on your device. We do not have access to your data.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality (all processing happens on your device)
- Sync your data across your devices via iCloud (handled by Apple, not by us)
- Generate statistics, insights, and weekly reports (calculated locally on your device)
- Process in-app purchases and manage premium subscriptions (handled by Apple StoreKit)
- Send you local notifications for habit reminders (if enabled, stored locally on your device)
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries (we do not access your data for support purposes)
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
- Your habit and task data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData

- We do not write health data to Apple Health
- Health data never leaves your device unless you have iCloud Health sync enabled (controlled by Apple, not by us)
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do NOT have access to your personal data. All data is stored locally on your device and/or in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access.
We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your data to any servers under our control. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Legal Requirements
Since we do not have access to your data, we cannot disclose it even if legally required. If a legal authority requests access to your data, they would need to contact Apple directly (for iCloud data) or obtain access through your device (for local data), as we do not have the ability to access or provide your data.

- CloudKit: For data synchronization across your devices (optional)
